Arlo Wynwood, Wynwood Art District’s first hotel property, is set to open its doors this fall with team of local restaurateurs at the helm of its food and beverage program. Locals are liable to recognize the names: Bar Lab, the culinary and cocktail collective led by Gabe Orta and Elad Zvi, will work in partnership with award-winning Miami Chef/Partner Brad Kilgore. Together, they will develop and operate the nine-story hotel’s signature restaurant, along with other culinary outlets, including a cocktail-centered third-floor lounge and a rooftop deck.

“We envisioned the food and beverage program at Arlo Wynwood to be as dynamic as the neighborhood itself, and representative of the best Miami has to offer,” Founder & CEO of Quadrum Global and Founder of Arlo Hotels Oleg Pavlov said in a press release. “By partnering with James Beard finalist Chef Bradley Kilgore to helm the hotel’s culinary program, and Bar Lab to develop the concepts for each of the hotel’s food & beverage outlets, we are bringing together two of the most celebrated names in the industry, and putting them together under one roof to create the city’s most anticipated destination.”

Bar Lab is most famous for James Beard finalist and three-time “Top 50 Bars in the World” award winner Broken Shaker, which brought major attention to Miami’s cocktail scene when in it opened in 2009. The culinary/cocktail collective has since launched a total of four Broken Shaker locations (Miami, Chicago, LA, NYC); several other Miami-based projects, including 27 Restaurant and Margot; and more.

Chef Kilgore, too, is a James Beard finalist for “Best Chef: South.” He was also named one of Food & Wine’s “Best New Chefs in America.” His most acclaimed project is Alter, which opened in 2015. Alter was a progressive American restaurant for which Kilgore received a 4-Star review from The Miami Herald.

This fall, this dream team of Miami’s culinary powerhouses will come together at Arlo Wynwood. Expect, from Chef Kilgore and the rest of the team, “a robust, flavorful Floridian-inspired brasserie offering a menu that will undoubtedly have Chef Kilgore’s uniquely personal touch while delivering big, bold, approachable flavors and textures.”
