Located on the southeast corner of Holmberg Road and Coral Ridge Drive, Sawgrass Shopping Center appears to be the future home of a new NY Pizza Place. Located at 20449 State Road 7 in Boca Raton, this pizza brand serves up “specialty pies that will make your mouth water.” It recently submitted plan review paperwork for a new restaurant at 5968 Coral Ridge Drive.

NY Pizza Place offers pizza by the slice, calzones, stromboli, pastas, salads, and desserts like cannoli and limoncello cake.

“We bring a slice of the Big Apple to the Sunshine State,” says the brand’s website. “Nestled in the heart of South Florida, our pizzeria is dedicated to delivering the authentic taste of New York-style pizza right to your doorstep. Our secret? It all starts with the dough, which we source straight from New York.”

NY Pizza Place puts particular emphasis on the recipe for its dough, which it says “dates back generations.”

The dough is “handcrafted daily using the finest ingredients, including high-protein flour, water, salt, and a touch of yeast. We allow it to rise slowly, allowing the flavors to develop and create that signature New York-style chewy yet crispy crust.”

Anchored by a Publix, Sawgrass Center is home to a Dunkin’ location and to health food spot Juicery RX. It’s part of a restaurant community that also includes, just across Holmberg Road, concepts like Little Havana Bar & Grill, BAMBOO, Cold Stone Creamery, and Moe’s Southwest Grill.
