When the location will appear is unknown, as is the target opening date. In the announcement, Bastianich is reported saying: “I can’t say yet, but it’s coming.”

Eataly is known for providing an Italian marketplace and food hall that is unique to each city. Expect to shop in high-quality Italian groceries, butcher counters and more. However, guests can also sit down to a range of dining options, like cafés to full-services dining. For example, the New York location has six separate restaurants. Five of them are located on the ground floor, and the sixth is a rooftop eatery.

The first location of the concept was opened in 2007 in Torino, Italy, in an old vermouth factory by Italian businessman Oscar Farinetti. The website boasts that Eataly was the first multifunctional marketplace dedicated to Italian food and experience.
