The intersection between Southwest 107th Avenue and Southwest Eighth Street will soon be home to a new outpost of comfort food chain I Heart Mac & Cheese. The chain has locations throughout South Florida, including Boca Raton, Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, and Pembroke Pines, but this will be the first in Miami.

The chain offers a range of creative takes on the comfort food classic, with Bowl variations like Buffalo Blue Mac & Cheese, Chicken Parmesan Mac & Cheese, and Lobster & White Truffle Mac & Cheese, all built with guests’ choice of base (Pasta, Broccoli, Cauliflower, or Quinoa). A further build-your own option is also on the table, with a choice of base, plus proteins, cheeses, and vegetables.

The brand’s other takes on the classic mac come in the form of grilled cheese sandwich varieties like Bacon, Love, Tomato (BLT) and the Cuban Grilled Cheese, or in the form of Tacoroni, a build-your-own-mac-and-cheese taco. Vegan options are also available, plus desserts like Cheesecake Bites, cookies, and more.

News of the Miami location comes after a long year of expansion for the mac & cheese brand. A press release sent out in January announced that I Heart Mac & Cheese was planning 75 new stores in 2022. In addition to finally making it to Miami, the brand has been heading to more than ten new states this year, including California, Georgia, Nevada, New Mexico, and Iowa.

What Now confirmed the news with a local representative of the brand on Monday. The representative said the Miami location can be expected to open before the end of the year.
