“South Florida has two types of sports fans: the diehards and the bandwagoners. You can easily find both walks of life at Palm Room,” Knallhart founder David Cardaci told What Now in an email conversation on Friday. “This new Las Olas hangout stays true to its Player’s Club culture. Guests can lounge in pleated leather booths while watching games on the big screen TVs, while others might opt for a more energized experience with premium bottle service.”

Founded by David and Vanessa Cardaci, Knallhart Management Group is also behind concepts like the “grungy yet downright tastefulRoxanne’s Liquor Bar & Kitchen; The Whole Enchilada Fresh Mexican Grill, which has locations in Fort Lauderdale, Plantation, and elsewhere; and “watering hole for bon vivants with a visionThe Wilder.

How does Cardaci envision the vibes in this new concept?

“Huddle up under the brass cladded marquee sign once the sun goes down as DJ entertainment brings on the night. The only question is, what’s your spirit of choice?” Cardaci said. “Staff members sling classic pizzas, buckets of beer & creative cocktails to sports bar aficionados while they carry about their game-day rooting. In addition, the bar touts a ‘Hall of Famers’ discount on all food and drink with a Broward County resident ID, applicable from 12pm to 5pm most days.”

Opening near the intersection of Las Olas and Southeast Ninth Street, Palm Room will be part of a vibrant food and drink community that includes Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, El Camino Fort Lauderdale, Pizza Italia, and Caffe Europa. Further details are not yet available on Palm Room’s menu. It’s expected to open in early 2023.
