“Fresh, delicious, elegant”: Kolo Restaurant & Lounge has built a following as both a Haitian restaurant and a hookah lounge serving beer and wine. It’s currently located at 3318 S University Drive in Miramar, part of Miramar Parkway Plaza, but this location will soon close to make way for a new one.

Still, don’t panic: the move isn’t taking Kolo far. Plan review documents submitted by Kolo Restaurant & Lounge LLC show the new location opening at 7996 Miramar Parkway—just across the street from Miramar Parkway Plaza.
The Kolo Restaurant & Lounge menu features dishes like Tassot Cabrit (One of the staples of Haitian cuisine is tassot cabrit (fried goat meat). The supple, juicy, crisp, and golden meat pieces are prepared with just a few basic ingredients and taste well with pikliz, Haitian Black Rice, fried plantains, or as part of your Fritay) and Griot (It consists of braised and fried pork shoulder that has been marinated with citrus. It is frequently offered during gatherings. Some people believe that diri ak pwa wouj and griot are the “national dishes” of Haiti).
What Now confirmed news of the move with a representative of Kolo Restaurant & Lounge on Monday. The representative was not immediately available to discuss the opening further, but What Now is awaiting more information.
