La Rossa Pizzeria is the creation of Solis who is Argentinian. The website for the restaurant describes the concept like this, “We are a pizzeria that combines the flavors and artistry of Italian and Argentinian cuisine. Our mission is to bring you the best, hand-picked ingredients to your table, and to serve as the crown of our royal hand-crafted dough.”

Per Fox 29, Solis is a recent immigrant from Buenos Aires and the article quotes Solis who said that it was his grandfather’s dream to open up a pizza shop. Solis’ grandfather came to visit La Rossa the first week that it was open.

La Rossa Pizzeria’s menu has classic pizzas like the cheese pie, marinara pie, and a Sicilian pie. Some examples of the special pies, it is a long list, are a pesto pie, a white pie, a proscuitto and arugula pie, a pomodorini pie, and the La Rossa special pie – a Fuggazetta, which is a stuffed cheese pie, topped with roasted onions which is the pizza that is featured in the photo that illustrates this article.

The menu also has gluten free and vegan pie options as well as stromboli, cold subs, hot sandwiches, pastas, salads, and from Solis’ own culture, empanadas.
