Founded in 1978 in Toledo, Ohio, Marco’s Pizza has grown into a major force in the franchise pizza shop space, with (according to Scrapehero.com) 137 locations in the state of Florida alone. The Sunshine State is in third place behind the chain’s home state, which itself takes second place to Texas.

A recently submitted plan review indicates that Marco’s will continue to expand its footprint here in South Florida, with a location that appears to be planned for Suite #23 at 811 N Nob Hill Road. (The paperwork says “Hob Hill Road,” but to our knowledge, there is no such street.)

Behind the location is Riviera Point Development Group LLC, an investment group headed up by President & CEO Rodrigo Azpurua. What Now reached out to Azpurua on Friday, but the CEO and Marco’s franchisee was not available for comment.

Marco’s pizzas come in tried-and-true varieties like the Deluxe, with Pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, and three cheeses; the Garden, with mushrooms, black olives, onions, sliced tomatoes, and three cheeses, plus feta; and Pepperoni Magnifico. Also on the menu are sub sandwiches in classic flavor profiles like Steak & Cheese, Italiano, and Chicken Club, along with a selection of salads and sides that include Cheezybread, Chicken Dippers, and Chicken Wings.
