Timbr is the brainchild of creative powerhouse Michael Tronn and his business partners Paul Brown and Jeremy Van Fleet at 3 Hospitality, and it will make its debut at the end of the year or in early 2022. You can expect to find the concept at 15 W Las Olas Blvd, where Cash Only Bar was located.

In a phone interview with What Now Miami, Tronn described Timbr as “An innovative, immersive concept that I think will redefine dining in not only Fort Lauderdale but the whole of southern Florida as well. There is definitely no other restaurant like this.”

The 3 Hospitality team is executing a major gut renovation of the space on Las Olas, and they have big ambitions for the historic 100-year-old building. Comprised of two levels, the bottom floor will be divided into two dining rooms. Tronn describes one room as having an earthy, woodsy appeal, with exposed wood grain and the like, hence the name “Timbr.”

The other room will be a lavishly decorated garden with live plants. Despite being an indoor space, the 33-foot tall ceiling will be a glass pyramid to let in an abundance of natural light.

The renovation will also include changes to the building’s outward appearance. You can expect a “European storefront” type of entrance that will grant patrons an indoor/outdoor space, Tronn reports.

The second floor will feature a private lounge that will evoke a sense of travel, with decorations inspired from the far east, all executed with a sense of high fashion.

The food was described by Tronn as “high-end farm to table, a combination of refined modern-American with European influence.”

Tronn is a veteran of unique hospitality concepts, and Timbr is his 34th effort. Along with restaurant design, Tronn has been a creative force in the arts as well. According to his website, at the age of 18 Tron began to exhibit his works in New York galleries. More information about his long career can be found on his website
