Looking toward the New Year, one of the projects we’re most curious to see completed is CIM Group’s massive Miami Worldcenter. What Now reported Thursday on a new restaurant tenant signed to the project, Canadian chain Earls Kitchen + Bar. Some restaurant and retail locations in the development have opened already, including Sephora and Brasserie Laurel, the Cuban-inspired French brasserie from South Florida Chef and James Beard Nominee Michael Beltran’s Ariete Hospitality Group.

Another much-anticipated concept headed to Miami Worldcenter is Maple & Ash, a steakhouse concept from Chicago’s What If… Syndicate. Opening at the corner of Miami Worldcenter’s Seventh Street promenade and Northeast First Avenue, the steakhouse will occupy a space that includes a total of 15,000 square feet (indoors and outdoors) on two stories.

Maple & Ash’s Chicago Dining Room menu features Raw & Chilled dishes like Wagyu Beef Carpaccio, Yellowfin Tuna Tartare, and Alaskan King Crab Legs. Wood-Fired Steaks & Chops include the Maple & Ash Surf & Turf, a 32 Day Dry-Aged Bone-In New York Strip, and Veal Chop Oscar with 16 oz. king crab, asparagus, and hollandaise. A list of entrees features Ricotta Agnolotti and New Zealand King Salmon. You can also say, “I Don’t Give a F*@k”; that is to say, you can “Let us take care of you – $200 per person.

What Now reached out on Friday to What If… Chef and Partner Danny Grant on Friday morning. Grant was not available for comment on the Chicago-based steakhouse concept’s journey here to South Florida. We’re hoping for more information soon!
