Marked “Coming Soon” on the Sushi Sake website, the Shops at Skylake location with open at 1608 NE Miami Gardens Drive Unit 70.

The story of Sushi Sake began not so long ago, in 2009:

“When brothers James and Argelio Jr. Aguayo opened the first Sushi Sake location in 2009, it was to bring high quality and late-night Asian dining options to the suburban neighborhood of Miami they called home,” says the Sushi Sake website’s About Us page. “Their dedication to homemade sauces, fresh seafood and Certified Angus Beef coupled with a chic and inviting atmosphere led to the company’s instant success.”

The Sushi Sake menu features a large selection of appetizers; sushi and sushi rolls; soups, salads, and noodle dishes; dinner entrees; desserts; and more. Popular rolls include the Angel Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Krab Salad, Masago, Cream Cheese, Topped with Avocado, Spicy Mayo, Eel Sauce and Topped with Crunch), the Marlins Roll (Seared Scallops, Asparagus, Krab Salad, topped with Thinly Sliced Scallops, Avocado & Tempura Crunch Served with Eel Sauce), and the Miami Heat Roll (Shrimp Tempura, Cream Cheese, Krab Salad, Topped with Baked Salmon, Spicy Mayo & Topped with Crunch Served with Eel Sauce).

What Now reached out on Thursday to Yolanda Fuste, one of the franchisees behind the Shops at Skylake location. Fuste declined to comment on the opening at this time.
