A unique Japandi-inspired restaurant is coming to Miami. From husband-and-wife culinary couple Cesar Olivo and Adriana Perez Benatar and partner Samuel Perez Benatar, Petite Comité will be Miami’s new dining den, featuring Scandinavian, French and Asian cookery. A family business composed of three related partners previously struck gold with a trio of successful concepts, now adding a fourth concept to their roster.
The team of restaurateurs are thrilled to expand their 11 Ktchn Group portfolio with Petite Comité, slated to open March 2023. At this new indoor/outdoor spot at 2929 Biscayne Boulevard, the owners will be applying the approach that have made their previous concepts – a cool, casual and comfortable yet polished setting; topflight service, deliciously-conceived and executed fare that is in a location that is both off-the-beaten-path yet in-the-middle-of-everything.
“Japandi is a term used for design aesthetics but so much of that can be applied to cuisine. Tied up in it is a search for simplicity and contentment, an achievement of balance. We hope to provide an immersive experience in a space that feels casual, inviting and familiar. A menu that is a mix of creative interpretations, flavors from each culture meticulously selected to enjoy. Service that is effortless, yet polished” says Adriana Benatar in a statement.
The restaurant will serve lunch Monday-Friday with approachably-priced lunch dishes. The menu includes Bites; Raw; Sushi Rolls; Veggie; Pasta Rice; Seafood and Meat – standout options include Octopus Sumūzu; Venison Carpaccio; Wagyu Sliders and Scallop Tartare with pickled cucumber, oyster aioli and crispy wontons. On Monday – Friday, from 3PM-7PM House Oyster Happy Hour will be available, featuring 50 % off bubbly and sake drinks as well as $2 House Oysters.
The dinner menu is still in development but a sneak peek include the Trio Crispy Rice; Jerusalem Artichoke Cream with celeriac root, apple and grated egg yolk; Sweden Calamari made with zucchini, lime, croutons, aioli, parmesan and oil; Pork Stroganoff in Boule Bread; Creamy Lobster Garganelli with Mascarpone and parmesan truffle and Wellington Tenderloin with wine sauce.
Brunch will be served every Saturday and Sunday. It will feature lunch selections as well as savory and sweet brunch items including Gruyere Omelet and Nikkei Tenderloin with cherry tomatoes, onions, fried egg and French fries.
The 1,500 square-foot space offers ample indoor and outdoor seating on the picturesque terrace, seating a total of about 80 people. A very well known muralist in Wynwood and Miami – Gabriela Benatar – is responsible for the mural and design aesthetic outside the restaurant.
