What Now confirmed the news with owner and Chef Ali Shabani. Shabani said the restaurant could be expected to open in the beginning of next year. Asked whether further locations were planned for the area, the chef answered in the affirmative—yes, of course—but declined to comment further.

The Rice Mediterranean Kitchen menu covers an expansive range of options, including choices for vegan, keto, and gluten free diners. The Kabobs menu features Chenjeh Tenderloin Rice and Wild Caught Snapper Rice (both of which are also available in the form of a salad, wrap, or platter, which is served with a Greek Salad, a side of rice, and pita). Specials include the Chicken Joojeh Special, the Braised Brisket Special, and the Falafel special, each of which are also served with salad, rice, and pita. Signature Bowls include the Vegan Bowl, the Braised Brisket Bowl, and the Gluten Free Lamb Bowl.

Opening in the Bank of America Plaza, Rice Mediterranean Kitchen will be neighbors with eateries like Coyo Taco, Subway, and Smoothie King. There are a number of other food and drink spots less than a block away, including Del Frisco’s Grille, Java & Jam, and Sky Thai Sushi.
