Roca also told What Now Miami that the family’s Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop franchise area in South Florida stretches from Jupiter to Key West. The original plan of opening 12 Capriotti’s franchise locations in the area is still on track.

Roca intends to have this third location open by Thanksgiving. He told What Now Miami that he wants to give back to the community and wants to take the opportunity to help the unhoused during the holidays. Roca plans to make thousands of sandwiches on Thanksgiving and give them away to the homeless and deliver them to shelters during the holiday.

When speaking with What Now Miami about how he got involved with Capriotti’s, Roca admitted to being a serial entrepreneur and said that he and his wife fell in love with the chain while in Las Vegas. He said his son immediately got on the phone and that started the discussions which led to the franchise agreement.

Roca also noted that the franchise business is a 50/50 split with his son.

His philosophy about his family’s Capriotti’s locations is to care first about the taste and quality of the food and that from there profitability will come. Roca says that each night they roast 25-pound Butterball turkeys for the next day’s sandwiches, that they bring in fresh bread from Las Vegas, and make sure that they have the highest quality meats available for all of the other sandwiches served by the restaurant.

He went on to say that they consider their employees to be family and take the responsibility for the livelihood of the 25 employees at their brick and mortar location very seriously and pay them well.

It remains to be seen where the next Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop for the franchise will be, but when What Now Miami knows more, we will update our readers.
