Rosebud Restaurants Appears to Be Planning South Florida Location

The Chicago-based steakhouse chain looks to be headed to Boca Raton

Founded in Chicago by Alex Dana, the Rosebud Restaurants brand looks to be planning its South Florida debut. A plan review recently submitted by Rosebud Boca, LLC—behind which is Mr. Dana himself—shows “Rosebud Boca” opening at 150 E Palmetto Park Road in Boca Raton.

“Mr. Dana has been moving ahead for the better part of four decades, expanding the success of his original Rosebud into Chicago’s first major restaurant group and an international household name,” reads the About page on the Rosebud website.

“Mr. Dana has parlayed those early victories into a family of restaurants that has been woven into the very fabric of Chicago. From Carmine’s to Rosebud on Rush, Rosebud Prime to the Rosebud Steakhouse, the Rosebud name has expanded to the suburbs and beyond.”

The Rosebud on Randolph Street in Chicago offers a dinner menu featuring Pasta dishes like Cavatelli Cacio E Pepe, Tortellini Carbonara, and Fettuccine Alfredo. Entrées include the Gigante Veal Chop, Chicken Braciole (Thin cut 10oz chicken breast stuffed with sausage. Escarole, breadcrumbs, basil, in a cacciatore sauce), and Short Rib & Polenta.

It is not yet know which of Rosebud’s brands and menus Boca Raton can expect at the Palmetto Park Road location. What Now reached out on Monday morning to Rosebud Restaurant Group COO Nick Lombardo regarding the news in Boca Raton. Lombardo was not immediately available for comment.
