Excel Miami will total approximately 338,000 square feet consisting of 427 apartments, half of which will be micro-units. To create a place for community and entertainment, the building will have an amenity deck on the sixth floor, featuring a pool, coworking space, fitness room, event room, and library. To accommodate a variety of living space needs, units will range from studios to two-bedroom apartments, with square footage between 399 and 920 square feet.

Envisioned by design architect Arquitectonica with LEO A DALY as architect-of-record, Excel Miami will blend seamlessly with the surrounding buildings while enhancing the vibrant neighborhood. The façade will include metal detailing and a mural from international graffiti artist Claudia ‘MadC’ Walde.

“We’re excited to partner with Clearline Real Estate on Excel Miami, helping to meet the housing needs of the growing Arts & Entertainment District,” said Alexis Leal, head of Florida, Shawmut in a statement. “Shawmut has been working in Miami for more than 25 years, contributing to the city’s evolving built world. Our team is energized to begin construction on this impactful project.”

Being constructed on a vacant site around the corner from the Metromover School Board station, Excel Miami will be a transit-friendly location for residents.
