“Clutch Coffee Bear is coming to the City of Margate…” reads a Facebook post by the City of Margate published back in 2021. “The City Commission approved a resolution this week to allow the North Carolina-based chain that sells specialty coffees, signature juices, and iced teas, to open its doors as a drive-through coffee bar at 5300 Coconut Creek Parkway in the Crossroads Shopping Center.”

The post stated, at that time, that the coffee shop was expected to open within six months, but this never eventuated. A more recent posting on Loopnet for the property at 1200 N State Road 7 (different address; same plaza: Crossroads Shopping Center) says Clutch Coffee will occupy a 938 square foot space there.

Clutch Coffee Bar offers a large selection of coffee drinks, with five different lattes ranging from the Original to Irish Dream, to Aloha (luscious chocolate macadamia nut infusion) and Caramel Macchiato. Mochas come in flavors like Base Jumper (caramel + chocolate adrenaline rush) and Cloud 9 (decadent medley of coconut + chocholate). The menu also features smoothies, shakes, and pastries.
