“It’s going to be house-made pasta,” Christophe, who owns the restaurant, told What Now on Tuesday. “And it’s going to be a Mediterranean restaurant, with influence from Greece, Morocco, the South of France, and Italy.”

Elba’s space on Second Court will feature a large indoor-outdoor bar with seating for a total of 150 guests. There will be Happy Hour offers, weekend brunch, and live music.

Asked for a projected opening date, Christophe estimated mid-May.

Launching near Fort Lauderdale’s thriving Las Olas culinary community, Elba will join food and drink concepts like Hof’s House of Sweets, Big City Tavern, and Pan’e Dolci Italian Bakery. A Howl at the Moon location is also slated to open in the same building sometime later this year.
