Still marked “Temporarily Closed” in its location at 2006 NW Executive Center Cir in Boca Raton, despite having closed several years ago, Madisons New York Grill & Bar is preparing to open in Pompano Beach, according to the brand’s website.
“It will be a pleasure to serve you in Pompano real soon,” says the website, which lists the restaurant’s address as 101 S Riverside [Dr], Pompano Beach.
In Boca Raton, Madisons New York Grill & Bar was a popular upscale spot, serving up steaks, seafood and cocktails, until it closed several years ago.
What Now reached out to co-owner Joe Bras on Monday to inquire about plans for the Pompano Beach Madisons launch. Bras declined to make any immediate comment on the subject.
What Now is still awaiting more details from the Madisons ownership, and it’s clear there remains more to the story: plan review paperwork has also been submitted by Madisons Restaurant Boca LLC for a restaurant very close to the 101 S Riverside Drive location, at 3100-B East Atlantic Blvd. That restaurant is called “Miraggio.”
A new name for the same concept? A new concept entirely? Time will tell. Stay tuned for updates as more details become available.
