Marion Miami, an upscale dining and nightlife mainstay for nearly 10 years in Miami’s Brickell neighborhood, will close its doors later this month. As part of a family of venues by Mr. Hospitality, which includes Lafayette Steakhouse and Queen Miami Beach, Marion is now phasing out, but it will be replaced by a new Mr. Hospitality concept, according to recent coverage by the Miami New Times.

The new concept is expected to launch in the 1111 SW First Avenue location, in the Axis apartment building.

“Marion redefined Brickell’s fine dining and nightlife scene with its glamorous ambiance, luxurious velvet seating, golden hardware, and American-Asian-inspired cuisine,” the New Times coverage says. “Now, as so many establishments in the Magic City are taking on this same theme, it was time for a change.”

This still leaves us guessing on many of the details regarding that change: in particular, the new concept’s menu and brand profile—and even its name, which is still forthcoming. But Mr. Hospitality founder Mathieu Massa told the New Times that idea will be “to keep the DNA, keep the foundations, and keep the concept in general of a high energy destination so that people can come to celebrate life, and we can offer them even more high quality in all aspects, interior design, food, music, service, and overall guest experience.”

What Now reached out to Mathieu Massa on Wednesday to inquire further about plans for the new location. Massa was not immediately available for comment.

There’s still time to visit Marion before it closes on June 22, and be sure to follow @marionmiami on Instagram for news about the transition.
