Called Surenitea, this new spot may soon be your favorite spot to relax and enjoy some healthy beverages.

Surenitea will be serving up tea, cava, and other botanical drinks in the old Salty spot, which has been updated to include more than double the space, owner Evan Kluge told What Now on Wednesday.

Kluge is known as a jack-of-all trades, having started his career as a professional soccer player, before moving into finance, and then into entrepreneurship in the world of alternative medicine, said coverage by The Wall Street Times earlier this year.

Describing what separates Surenitea from what you might call a “tea shop” or a “cava bar,” Kluge told What Now that Surenitea is quite different. “We offer many other botanicals. So those are just one of the many things we’ll be serving. In general, it will be more enhanced, with better-quality products, something much more upscale.”

Launching on Northwest 24th Street in Wynwood, Surenitea will join a thriving hospitality community that includes The Dirty Rabbit, Manta Wynwood, and popular Asian food court 1-800-Lucky.
