Currently serving its “elevated vegan comfort cuisine” at 2659 E Atlantic Blvd. in Pompano Beach, The Rabbit Hole has plans to open a new location in Delray Beach. The news broke earlier this year with an announcement by the Delray Beach Community Redevelopment Agency that the Rabbit Hole was one of three tenants moving into several spaces at 98 NW Fifth Ave.

“The Rabbit Hole has offered vegan comfort food since beginning in 2019 in a small restaurant space of about 900 square feet,” read the announcement. “In addition to their Pompano locations, they’ve sought out a location in Delray Beach as a way to both plant roots as well as create a pivotal point for their business.”

The Rabbit Hole’s Summer Specials have included the Summer Love Bowl (Garlic butter seasoned jasmine rice tossed with truffle roasted corn, drizzled with our house-made vegan cheese sauce, topped with our famous citrus lime marinated BBQ spare ribs, and finished with our ranch slaw) and the Freedom Wrap (Our famous Wyngs chopped and tossed with chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, red onion, and banana peppers, topped with shredded cheddar and finished with our house ranch dressing, all wrapped up in a large grilled tortilla. Served with our house signature straight cut skin on French fries).

What Now reached out to founder Dee Woods to inquire about plans for the opening. Woods said it’s too early to talk to the press yet about the location.

Dee said the following in the Delray Beach CRA announcement:

“We are very excited for 98 N.W. Fifth Ave. to again create something completely innovative and unique to the area. The rich history of Delray Beach is to be honored and explored throughout the space. We will shine a light on the glory that exists on Fifth Avenue and throughout. We are thrilled to highlight vegan cuisine through a cafe in Delray Beach. We hope to provide a go-to space for culture, history and refreshments. Our inspiration for the space is some of the many tiny cafes in the 9th Arrondissement in Paris. The spaces are cozy, yet feel expansive with culture and identity. That is what we strive to offer.”
