A new hookah bar, lounge, and small plates restaurant is preparing to open its doors at the intersection of Bird Road and Southwest 73rd Avenue. Xhale Miami, a brand-new concept, will open with high-quality hookah, drinks, and a small plates menu, all served in a relaxing atmosphere that features state-of-the-art sound equipment for great music that doesn’t drown out conversation.

“We both love to go out,” owner Ibrahim Ghantous said of himself and general manager Mohammad Nofal. “But one of our complaints has been that if you want to go and meet somewhere—want to chill somewhere with good food, good drinks, and good music—you can’t do it without lights going off in your eyes and music so loud you can’t talk to people.”

The Xhale Miami space has been specifically designed to allow for great lighting and a high-end sound system that will maintain a relaxing lounge atmosphere and avoid transforming the space into a nightclub. In its new home, Xhale will offer a menu of Lebanese tapas and sushi offerings that will go well with its selection of cocktails, Lebanese wines, and other drinks, plus top-of-the-line hookahs.

“With the hookahs, it’s like the difference between driving a Toyota or a Ferrari,” said Ghantous.

Opening on the north side of the Bird Road-73rd Avenue intersection, Xhale Miami will join Nhale Smoke Shop, along with popular food truck Lebanese Guys—both of which come from the same entrepreneurial team.

Xhale Miami is still a few months away from opening, but keep an eye out when you’re in Coral Terrace: the new hookah bar and lounge will be opening in Unit A at 7305 Bird Road.
