Café Bastille, which started as a small café venture by French partners Estelle and Benjamin, is now expanding its footprint from Downtown Miami to Fort Lauderdale with the opening of a new location this November. Situated near the Riverwalk District, the 4,000-square-foot French café is bringing its Parisian flair and culinary expertise to the area with an all-day daily brunch menu, freshly baked pastries, specialty drinks, healthy lunch options, weekend happy hour with live DJs and more.

Upon entering Café Bastille Fort Lauderdale, patrons are embraced with gold and white accents, Parisian-style wooden chairs, and a serene color palette inspired by sage and basil, the 40-seat dining room exudes a refined yet inviting atmosphere. Diners can enjoy an alfresco dining experience with waterfront views on the 80-seat patio.

As brunch enthusiasts and world travelers, Estelle and Benjamin drew from their passions and hospitality experience to create Café Bastille.

“We’re thrilled to extend Café Bastille to Fort Lauderdale, where the community’s unique blend of tranquility and activity mirrors what our brand stands for,” shared Estelle in a statement. “We can’t wait for everyone to make this waterfront café their new go-to brunch spot, a safe haven in the heart of the busy city.”

Catering to weekend brunch-goers, Café Bastille comes alive with a live DJ set every Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Guests can enjoy live music while taking advantage of the menu’s bottomless brunch classics, such as Mimosas and Peach Bellinis ($25/$30 per person), or a Rosé Sangria Pitcher ($40). Unique cocktail offerings include refreshing options like the Lychee Collins ($13) and Blueberry Basil Mule ($14) and decadent drinks like the French Toast Tini ($14), made with vodka and Irish cream sprinkled with cinnamon, and the Mochatini ($13), made with tequila.

Café Bastille Fort Lauderdale’s all-day menu is curated with fresh, locally sourced ingredients and dishes made entirely from scratch. Designed to cater to a diverse range of tastes and cravings, the menu features light bites, savory homemade delicacies, healthy alternatives, vegan options and a selection of freshly baked crispy pastries.

Guests can begin by enjoying the Sweet Start menu with dishes such as the Mango Berries Chia Pudding ($8.50), featuring coconut cream, almond milk chia pudding, agave and organic granola; Crispy French Toast Bites ($16), topped with fresh berries and butter whipped cream; and Dave’s Croissant Pudding ($14), with chocolate, nuts and berries. Other sweet options include an assortment of pancakes and French toasts, such as Red Velvet Pancakes ($19), topped with strawberries and a cream cheese drizzle, and Stuffed Nutella French Toast ($18), made with caramelized bananas.

Those on the move can also satisfy their sweet tooth with an array of fresh, daily-made bakery items, from classic Croissants ($5) to indulgent specialties like Almond Croissants ($6.50), Pistachio Croissants ($6) and Dulce de Leche Cruffins ($6). On-the-go bakery treats also include desserts such as Flan ($6), S’mores Chocolate Cookies ($4.50) and Strawberry Shortcake Cookies ($4.50).

Brunch highlights include four “Frenchtastic Benedicts,” such as the Smoked Salmon Benedict ($21), a delectable fusion of two organic poached eggs, hollandaise sauce, avocado and fried capers, and Roasted Turkey ($19), with Brie cheese, avocado and tomato. Omelets, like the Parisian ($17) with ham, mushrooms and Monterey cheese or Ben’s Favorite ($18) with turkey, avocado, pickled onions and Monterey cheese, are served with multigrain toast with house jam and breakfast potatoes.

The “Eggs & Co” section introduces global flavors such as French Shakshuka ($20), with ratatouille and feta on a Jerusalem bagel; Frank’s Famous Hash ($33), with beef filet, peppers, onions, avocado, fingerling potatoes, cilantro aioli and two sunny-side-up eggs; French Breakfast Burrito ($21), with organic eggs, cheddar cheese, peppers, onions, avocado, breakfast potatoes and spicy mayo served with a choice of protein; and Turkish Eggs ($21), with garlic yogurt, two organic poached eggs, Kalamata olives, heirloom grape tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, mint and smoked chili oil on a Jerusalem bagel.

For lunch, guests can opt for burgers such as Estelle’s Truffle Burger ($26), with blackened salmon fillet, tomato arugula and truffle aioli served on a brioche bun with Cajun French fries, or the Bacon Angus Cheeseburger ($21), with tomato, pickled onions and lettuce topped with secret sauce and served with French fries. Lighter health-driven lunch options are also available, including Salmon Niçoise ($27), with green beans, tomatoes, organic egg, fingerling potatoes and Kalamata olives; Southern Steak Bowl ($28), with rice, beef filet, tomatoes, spinach, avocado, corn pico de gallo, chipotle aioli and cilantro lime; and Tomato Mozzarella Prosciutto ($18), with mozzarella di bufala, balsamic glaze and fresh basil.

The drink menu offers a variety of crafted smoothies, cold-pressed juices, shots and other specialty drinks and coffees. For a nutritious boost, smoothies include the Passion Sunshine ($11), made with honey coconut water, passion fruit, mango and pineapple, and Beauty Protein ($12), made with Greek yogurt, blueberry, banana, oat milk and collagen. Other specialty drinks include the French Toast Cappuccino ($9), served with a crispy French Toast Bite, and the 20g Collagen Mocha ($8), with chocolate whey protein. Not to be missed are the gourmet coffees and teas, from Café Lattes ($6), Cappuccinos ($6) and Iced Coffees ($5) to Matcha Lattes ($6.50) and Iced Palais des Thés Tea ($5).

Cafe Bastille is located at 704 SE First St., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
