Multi-unit franchisee Tyler Cafferty confirmed with What Now Miami on Monday that two new Huey Magoo’s locations are opening in North Lauderdale and Oakland Park. According to plan review filings, the address will be 7300 W McNab Road for the North Lauderdale location, and the Oakland Park unit will appear at 881 E. Commercial Blvd

Moving along in the pre-opening stages, the Oakland Park unit should be operational “sometime in April,” Cafferty shared. The new location will neighbor other establishments in the Northridge Shopping Plaza: Golden Krust Carribbean, Dunkin’ Donuts and Firehouse Subs.

North Lauderdale has a bit longer of a wait. Construction has not begun on the space, and they are waiting for the shell to be built out before they can start. Located in a new retail construction project, this Huey Magoo’s will have China Wok and Crap Tales for neighbors.

Huey Magoo’s opened their first location in 2004, and since then they have expanded to 150 locations across the southeast. They specialize in offering fresh grilled or fried hormone and steroid-free chicken.

A plan review filed with the state for new construction was approved with provisions last month.
