Founded seven years ago in Bay Harbor Islands by sisters Paula and Josefina Gerez, Coffee Break is “the place where ENJOY is the objective and providing the best service our first and foremost mission.” The brand has since expanded with a location at Miami’s Okeydokey food court, and it’s currently working on another expansion into Miami, opening Coffee Break House at 7251 Biscayne Blvd.

Coffee Break House (as it’s called in recently submitted plan review paperwork) will open in a unique setting at the Biscayne Boulevard address, Paula Gerez told What Now on Friday.
“It’s inside a house, so it’s going to be very different,” said Gerez. “It will have seating inside the house, and we will have a lot of outdoor seating.”
In addition to its selection of cafe beverages, the menu at Coffee Break’s Bay Harbor Islands location—called Coffee Break Enjoy—features breakfast all day, with a selection of omelets; waffles like Argentinian Waffle (with dulce de leche, jelly & whipped cream); and other favorites, like Egg & Avocado Toast and Salmon Toast.
And that only scratches the surface, as Coffee Break House will also serve up salads, wraps, and other later-in-the-day items. The Bay Harbor Islands location also offers beer and wine.
“Most importantly,” said Gerez, “all our food is one hundred percent homemade. We make the soup; we make the empanadas; we bake the cakes. And every day we make a special homemade lunch, things we used to eat at home.”
No opening date has been announced yet for the new location, but be sure to follow @coffeebreakenjoy on Instagram to keep up with Coffee Break news.
