According to a Pepe’s Pizza spokesperson, we can expect to find the location at 321 N University Drive, Unit 800. According to a Plantation Walk Facebook post, the Pepe team is still waiting on permits from the city and hope to begin construction soon. Though the spokesperson shared that they plan to open this summer, an exact date was not available.

The brand was established by Italian immigrant Frank Pepe in 1925, after returning to New Haven from fighting on behalf of his country in War World I. According to the website, Pepe’s Pizza arrived just as dish transitioned from obscurity to enjoy nationwide American popularity. The brand has enjoyed lasting success due to their commitment to serve their genuine Italian dishes along with unique signature pies like white clamp pizza.

The Plantation Walk development will feature living, shopping and dining accommodations in Broward County. Pepe’s Pizza is slated to appear among several other eateries: Rock & Brews, Tacocraft Taquería and Tequila Bar and Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream.
