It seems that another Mammamia Italiano Gelato is coming to the area. A state plan review filed on behalf of a restaurant by the name of “Mammamia” was approved for construction on January 24th.
Details are still slim, but What Now Research has linked the filing to the Italian gelato chain. The company that filed the plan review goes by “Gelato 770 Corp,” who lists Eyal Anavim as its manager. The secondary address listed on the filing was linked to an office unit with the title “Gelato Italio.”
The Gelato company has international locations spanning multiple countries, including: Malaysia, India, Luxembourg, Iraq, Italy, Portugal, Dubai, Oman. Miami has one preexisting location in Miami Beach that appears to belong to a separate owner.
It is unknown when the new location will open, however, according to state filings, the address will be 834 S Miami Avenue. It will neighbor Rockboy Pizza and Rosetta Bakery.
What Now Miami reached out to Anavim for a comment about the dessert shop, but he declined to provide any information.
