Founded in 2012 by Stefano Versace (and originally known as Stefano Versace Gelato), Konos Gelato is taking over South Florida. It appears to be continuing this growth with a location in South Miami. A plan review was recently submitted for a Konos Gelato at 5885 Sunset Drive.
Konos has served gelato in a number of tempting flavors. These include, to name a few, Ferrero Rocher, Vaniglia Biologica, Cioccolato al Latte, Caffè, Stracciatella, Tiramisù, and many more.
Konos’s gelato is also served in the form of shakes and as a topper for baked goods.
The Sunset Drive location is in a busy spot near the intersection of South Dixie Highway and SW 72nd Street. The area is packed with food and drink spots like Miu’s Tea, Amsterdam Falafelshop, Casa Cuba, Deli Lane Cafe & Sunset Tavern, and Empire Lounge & Pizzeria.
No opening date has been announced yet for a South Miami Konos location.
