Borsalino Coffee Bar & Food is planning another location in Plantation. According to co-owner Georgios Yiannikakis, the restaurant is preparing to submit the designs to the city for permitting to begin construction.
Diners can expect to find the café at the Market on University shopping center. According to plan review filings, the address will be 1045 S University Dr, next to LA Fitness. Other nearby establishments are Zona by Fresca and Publix.
The café has three locations in the greater Miami area already, and this forthcoming unit will be their forth.
Yiannikakis did not have an opening date to share, citing the difficulty of predicting how quickly permits and licensing will come from the city.
The chain focuses on creating an inviting atmosphere and loyal relationships with guests. Per their website, “Our mission at Borsalino Coffee Bar & Food is to create a space that encourages a sense of community, lifts up the spirit and becomes the most beloved café in Miami.”
A plan review filed with the state earlier this month is still “in process.”
