Chill-N Nitrogen Ice Cream is opening a location in the new Plantation Walk development. According to CEO David Leonardo, the location is finalizing their permits with hopes to begin construction at 321 N University Drive.
The brand is growing, Leonardo reports. They began in 2012 in Miami, and now they are preparing to open their first Texas locations in Fort Worth and San Antonio. They will also open another five stores within Florida. Leonardo also shared that the company is partnering with franchisee’s to open all of their forthcoming stores this year.
The brand is teaming up with Gerardo Rocha to bring their Plantation Walk location to fruition. Leonardo described how under unique circumstances, the company will partner with a franchisee to assist in operating the unit alongside them, all the while the franchisee continues to retain ownership. The exact circumstances that would lead to this decision are not available to the public, but Chill-N has established such a relationship with Rocha for this location.
Plantation Walk is a large mixed-use development that will offer 700 luxury apartments, 130,000 square feet of retail space and 160,000 square feet of office space, according to the website. Their Facebook page has been sharing photos of other forthcoming restaurants and the development’s progress. It is not clear when it will be completely open.
