Founded in Queens, New York, Chip City Cookies offers its rotating selection of specialty cookies at a steadily growing number of shops. There are currently 30 in operation in states like New York, New Jersey, Virginia, Florida, and others. According to coverage published earlier this month by QSR Magazine, the chain is planning to open 30 new locations this year, plus another 40 in 2025, leading to a total of 100 by the end of next year.

One of these is the brand’s second South Florida location, which is opening this summer in the Esplanade at Aventura shopping mall.

“With 48 classic flavors, which rotate every week, including butterscotch toffee and white chocolate cranberry oat, visitors can stop to enjoy one of the city’s latest handcrafted sweets while exploring South Florida’s hottest new dining and entertainment destination,” a representative said.

Behind the astonishing growth is a $10 million investment from Danny Meyer’s Enlightened Hospitality Investments. The growth is expected to continue in South Florida with locations planned for Delray Beach and Miami’s MIMO District.

“We’re so excited about South Florida,” CEO Peter Philips told What Now when news broke of the brand’s first South Florida location in Sunset Harbour.

Each Chip City store offers six different cookies from an ever-growing pool of flavors, and although these flavors constantly revolve, there are a few constants: Chip City always offers a chocolate chip cookie and a plant-based, dairy-free cookie. Flavors have included Triple Chocolate and the Cannoli Cookie, along with seasonal varieties like Pumpkin Spice Latte and Super Specialties like Italian Rainbow and Baklava.
