Founded in 1986 by businessman and real estate developer Jefferson Vander Wolk, the Waterway Cafe is known for fresh fish, beautiful waterfront views, and Florida’s only floating bar. Located in Palm Beach Gardens, at 2300 PGA Blvd., the cafe closed for renovations back in August and is expected to reopen next year.

“After many months of planning and permitting, Waterway Cafe is finally getting its long overdue renovation!” reads the restaurant’s website. “Sunday, August 20, will be our last day and we will be closed for approximately 6 to 9 months.”

Waterway Cafe’s dinner menu opens with Appetizers like Spicy Guava Shrimp Bites, Korean Beef Eggrolls, and Grilled Octopus with fingerling potatoes, arugula, and marinated cherry tomatoes. Entrées include Seafood Gumbo, Seafood Rigatoni, Pan Seared Scallops, and a Black Angus Ribeye Steak.

The dinner menu also features a selection of Wood Oven Pizzas in varieties like Margherita, Fuji Apple & Brie, and Spicy Broccoli Rabe and Sausage, all alongside sandwiches like the Waterway Bacon Cheeseburger and the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich.

What Now reached out on Tuesday to Waterway Cafe owner Marc Mariacher to inquire about plans for the reopening. Mariacher was not immediately available for comment.
