“At Baoshi, we’re not just serving food; we’re creating an experience,” says owner Filbert “Fil” Ip, who hails from a successful restaurant family in a statement. More on that in a minute. “Our goal is to offer the best in Asian cuisine and beyond, all in a dynamic and engaging setting. It will be a celebration of the many flavors that make up Asian cuisine, bringing together the culinary gems of China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, and Vietnam.”

Baoshi occupies the space that was once home to the Gold Marquess – owned and operated by Fil’s parents for the past eight years. With his parent’s recent retirement from the restaurant business, Ip saw the opportunity to do more than take over the family business. He saw a chance to redefine the space and bring something new, different and exciting to a market very much in need of unique food & drink options. Baoshi will be a fresh chapter in the Ip family’s culinary legacy. Baoshi stands as the first and only Asian food hall in Pembroke Pines.

Baoshi is uniquely designed and divided into four multifaceted areas all offering something different. Upon entering, guests are immediately greeted by the sleek market showcasing a carefully curated and hard-to-find selection of Asian merchandise. This space offers a glimpse into the rich cultural tapestry that informs Baoshi’s culinary offerings. Baoshi will be home to five unique street food vendors, each offering a taste of a different Asian culinary tradition. From the sizzling street food of Bangkok and savory creations of Shanghai to the delicate flavors of Kyoto, the food hall promises a celebration for the taste buds. Guests can look forward to vendors including Fort Lauderdale’s Temple Street Eatery and Gangnam Chikn, and Gold Marquess who will be resurrecting their dim sum and roasted duck. Sushi and desserts such as mochi, bubble tea, fried donuts and more will also be available.

Flowing from the main dining space, the bar area and lounge provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can relax and enjoy craft cocktails, beer, wine or sake from the restaurant’s extensive list while enjoying their favorite sports teams play on one of the bar’s LED flat screens. Baoshi displays multiple Japanese pop-art murals throughout the entire venue. The murals evoke the mysterious Indochine glamour of the 1940s paired with cocktail garnishes and butterflies, Hong Kong skylines with disco balls, Vietnamese landscapes, and desserts that magically appear behind the Great Wall of China; all designed by Esteban Bressan.

“Baoshi is about creating memories with loved ones.” continues Ip. “Live music performances, culinary classes, private events, and a range of special community events will be regular features, ensuring there’s always something exciting happening.” Baoshi promises an “every hour is Happy Hour” atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor bar lounge spaces available. Guests can expect beats courtesy of a live DJ or local band every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Baoshi is open weekdays from 11:30AM to 12AM and weekends from 11:30AM to 2AM. Baoshi Food Hall is located at 8525 Pines Boulevard.
