“At Baoshi, we’re not just serving food; we’re creating an experience,” says owner Filbert “Fil” Ip, who hails from a successful restaurant family in a statement. “Our goal is to offer the best in Asian cuisine and beyond, all in a dynamic and engaging setting. It will be a celebration of the many flavors that make up Asian cuisine, bringing together the culinary gems of China, Japan, Korea and more.”

Baoshi occupies the space that was once home to Gold Marquess – owned and operated by Fil’s parents for the past eight years. With his parent’s recent retirement from the restaurant business, Ip saw the opportunity to do more than take over the family business. He saw a chance to redefine the space and bring something new, different and exciting to a market very much in need of unique food & drink options. Baoshi will be a fresh chapter in the Ip family’s culinary legacy and represents the first and only Asian food hall in Pembroke Pines, setting a new standard for trendy and cool dining destinations in the area.

The Grand Opening kicks off on Friday and will flow into the weekend.

Baoshi is uniquely designed and divided into four multifaceted areas all offering something different. Upon entering, guests are immediately greeted by the sleek market showcasing a carefully curated and hard-to-find selection of Asian merchandise. Baoshi will be home to five unique street food vendors, each offering a taste of a different Asian culinary tradition. From the sizzling street food of Bangkok and savory creations of Shanghai to the delicate flavors of Kyoto. Guests can look forward to vendors including Fort Lauderdale’s Temple Street Eatery, highlighting their Latin-Asian fusion creations such as Wonton Tacos, Godzilla Ramen, and Chino Latino Hot Dog; Gangnam Chikn, offering Korean Fried Chicken and Barbeque; Poke OG, serving poke and vegan bowls, sushi rolls and crispy rice; Gold Marquess, who will be resurrecting their infamous dim sum and roasted duck; and Boba Street Cafe.

Flowing from the main dining space, the bar area and lounge provide a seamless transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. Guests can relax and enjoy craft cocktails, beer, wine or sake from the restaurant’s extensive list while enjoying their favorite sports teams play on one of the bar’s LED flat screens. Located on the western side of the restaurant is the “Zen Den”, this tranquil area offers a quieter and peaceful respite to enjoy a more intimate experience. It’s true that cooking is a form of art in its own right, however, Baoshi displays multiple Japanese pop-art murals throughout the entire venue. Perfect for that “insta moment” patrons can look forward to snapping a shot in front of several contemporary collages that transport you on a visual journey through the heart of Asia. The murals evoke the mysterious Indochine glamour of the 1940s paired with cocktail garnishes and butterflies, Hong Kong skylines with disco balls, Vietnamese landscapes, and desserts that magically appear behind the Great Wall of China; all designed by the talented hands of Esteban Bressan.

“Baoshi is about creating memories with loved ones,” continues Ip. “Live music performances, culinary classes, private events, and a range of special community events will be regular features, ensuring there’s always something exciting happening.” Baoshi will have an “every hour is Happy Hour” atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor bar lounge spaces available. Guests can expect great beats courtesy of a live DJ or local band every Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Baoshi will be open everyday from 11:30AM to 12AM with the bar open until 2AM on Fridays and Saturdays. Baoshi Food Hall is located at 8525 Pines Boulevard.
