“I’m familiar with the West Palm area, and I thought it would be something great for the city,” franchisee Stephon Williams told What Now on Thursday. Williams has previously been involved in ownership at Cru Lounge, but he says this is his first time branching out to open one on his own.

Cru specializes in hookah, offering familiar flavors like Mint and Mango alongside wilder ones like Spiced Chai, Fruity Pebbles, and Cru Lemonade. The lounge also serves up Crutails like Liquid Hemp (coconut rum, spiced rum, melon liqueur, blue curacao, pineapple juice, and sour mix) and Sour Patch Kids (Ketel One Citroen + Cane Sugar, lemon juice, sour mix, and sour patch kids with a sugar rim).

There is also a small plates menu, featuring dishes like Traditional Wings served in a variety of sauces, the Cru Baby Burger, and Lobster Mac & Cheese.

“It’s a place for people to come and have a good time that’s not actually a club,” Williams said. “It’s a lounge and restaurant with an upscale vibe, a restaurant with a bit of a remix, a little more fun than your typical restaurant.”

Williams says a launch date for Cru West Palm Beach has not been determined yet, but the lounge is working toward an opening sometime this spring.
