Located in the lobby of the Carlyle in Miami Beach, Icy-N-Spicy is a family-owned business offering specialty ice cream and desserts. And according to a recently submitted plan review, the restaurant—which aims to be “the premier destination for all ice cream lovers”—is now preparing to expand with a second location, this time in Miramar, at 12567 Miramar Parkway Building E.

“Icy-N-Spicy is a family run business with a focus on artisan Ice Cream and desserts,” the Icy-N-Spicy website says. “We have combined the ice cream flavors of Europe and Asia. Our phenomenal signature recipes of spicy ice cream have been created by the owner, Xiaoli Liu. She hails from the Sichuan province in China, home of the spiciest food, and has the dessert recipes of three generations of women behind her.”

What Now confirmed news of the Miramar opening with Xiaoli Liu on Thursday.

“We’re still under construction,” Liu said, “Hopefully we will be opening in the end of April or early May.”

Liu says the brand’s menu—which includes ice cream, cotton candy, and Specialty Shakes in varieties like Dulce de Leche, Ferrero Rocher, and Red Velvet (and more!)—will expand with new choices reflecting the increased size of the Miramar location. The new space will also feature a party and event room reservable for special events.

In the meantime, check out Icy-N-Spicy’s location at the Carlyle, and follow @icynspicymiami on Instagram.
