Legacy, the fitness lifestyle brand, is leveling up with the move of its flagship Wynwood location to a 7,000 square-foot state-of-the-art training facility in the luxury high-rise Strata Wynwood (2243 N Miami Ave, Suite 110). The new location will serve as the headquarters for the brand, which has five other locations around South Florida. Members can expect the same challenging HIIT workouts, top-of-the-line equipment and NO DAYS OFF culture the brand is known for – plus new additions such as health & wellness offerings and a bar offering Legacy’s very own lifestyle beverages.

Manning Sumner founded Legacy as “Legacy Fit” in 2008 after an accomplished and well-rounded career training professional athletes and A-list celebrities. Driven by his passion for motivating people to reach their maximum potential, he wanted to create a community of gym goers at all fitness levels. He put a system in place where members have an encouraging team behind them pushing them to reach their goals and become better versions of themselves day by day. Today, Legacy has locations in Coral Gables, Doral, Ft. Lauderdale, Kendall, Pembroke Pines and Wynwood and the brand continues to grow and evolve with the new headquarters being the first of many exciting things to come.

“In 2008 I had a vision for the brand and although we have faced obstacles over the years, the commitment to that vision has never wavered. Our team, our members and myself as a person have grown tremendously in the last 14 years yet each day still feels like we are just touching the surface of our potential as a company and the leader in group fitness,” says Sumner in a statement. “The opening of this new location is another huge milestone in Legacy’s ever growing journey and we feel it will give us the proper platform to innovate and influence the fitness industry in a significant way. Until my last breath, I will continue to dedicate my time to empower those around me to be the best selves they can be and inspire people to never take a day off on themselves.”

While Legacy HQ will have a new look and feel, the brand’s core values and mission remain the same – providing accessible, approachable and fun professional-level fitness results by way of the brand’s proprietary Partner Interval Training P.I.T. system. P.I.T combines HIIT and resistance training, activating opposing muscle groups and helping members increase speed, power, endurance and metabolic rate. The intensity and format of the workout helps burn fat faster and results in additional calories being burned for up to 21 hours post exercise. The brand’s motto NO DAYS OFF continues to be as true as ever inspiring a movement that goes beyond the gym walls and into a broader social movement, cultural shift, and a new way of living. NO DAYS OFF serves as a reminder to members to prioritize themselves in and out of the gym. It prompts them to be consistent and focused; to fuel their body with intention; and to take NO DAYS OFF on themselves and their well-being.

The fitness facility will feature premium Life Fitness, Cybex, Hammer Strength, Woodway and custom Sorinex equipment. As with all Legacy locations, members will find Cybex selectorized strength equipment, TrueForm treadmills, Versa Climbers, SkiErgs, rowers, heavy bags, custom battle ropes, sleds, fan bikes, rope climbers, dumbbells, plyo boxes and more. The gym will be outfitted with custom PLAE Attack turf, delivering an aggressive and durable floor that is engineered to promote safety and world class performance.

Post workout, members will be able to enjoy various recovery, wellness and leisure offerings including two cold plunges, a traditional sauna with a capacity of up to eight people and an IV suite offering customizable IV and injection therapies. Truly differentiating itself from other gyms and fitness centers in the city, Legacy will also serve up its very own crafted post-workout beverages in The Pit Stop, the gym’s smoothie, wine & beer bar. The low ABV beers will be made with real fruit, added electrolytes and will promote gut health.

Designed and envisioned by Sumner and executed by Skywerk Development & Scotty Wonders, the new facility’s design will be sleek and modern with neutral tones, textured walls, minimalist light fixtures and complimentary pops of colors in murals by local artists Yost and Alexander Mijares, whose work is found throughout Legacy’s other locations. Quotes and affirmations are visible throughout the facilities to motivate and inspire each member. A large neon sign with the brand’s motto NO DAYS OFF will hang on the ceiling of the main training area, mirrored by the same quote on the turf, acting as the centerpiece of the space and reminding members of Legacy’s commitment to the member experience and growth of the community.

Legacy HQ will offer up to ten (10) sessions per day. A full locker room complete with spacious showers and a dressing area will be available for members as well as on-site parking, making the experience as convenient as possible.
