Keri Colvin, founder and co-owner (with DJ Khalid and Elric Prince) of the famed The Licking brand and Sunday’s Eatery, will be opening another concept in South Florida soon. What Now on Wednesday spoke with Colvin to get the details.
Expect to find the restaurateur’s newest concept at 17560 NW 27th Ave #113 in Miami Gardens. At this location, it will neighbor an outpost of The Licking, Pretty Healthy and Twisted Smoothie Express. Colvin shared that they are working on the unit’s air conditioning, and when it is ready, they will move into licensing and approvals from the city. She does not have an opening date to share yet.
Colvin described the eatery as: “casual take-out for breakfast for the working-class people,” she said. The restaurant will be designed for selling grab and go meals, but Colvin commented, “I’m going to also make sure I bring some excitement to the place.” What exactly she has is store is unknown, and we will have to wait and see.
A plan review filed with the Department of Business and Professional Regulation on May 4 is still in process.
