“It’s a little more elevated. We have a brand new kitchen and a beautiful facility,” Justin Sherrer told What Now on Friday. “We’ll be focusing on more a la carte items, with almost a steakhouse feel, and a lot more crudos.”

The Social 27 dinner menu features dishes like Salmon Tiradito (Cured Verlasso Salmon, Tomato confit, Smoked Trout Roe, Garlic, Truffle Lemon Dressing), Local Wahoo Crudo, Seared Beef Sashimi, Buratta Brulee (Panela Torched, Confit Tomato, Mango Marmalade, Sullivan St Bakery Toast). “To Share” are dishes like Parrilla Mixta (Churrasco, Prawns, Lechón, Tostone, Maiz, Chimichurri, Criolla) and the 2+-pound El Tomahawk Ribeye.

Social 27 will open in a 3100-square-foot space that seats about 150 guests, including an outdoor seating that accommodates about 50, and that features a large indoor-outdoor bar. Signature cocktails will include the Nostalgia (Havana Club, Lemon Bay Syrup, Muddled Mint, La Marca Prosecco) and El Viejo Fashioned (Dewars, Cortadito, Orange).

“It’s kind of a grownup version of Doce,” said Sherrer. “It’s going to have full liquor, a lovely crafted cocktail menu, and amazing quality food.”
