Lima-based hospitality company Acurio International will open its second Miami restaurant this year. Jarana will bring a lively environment and an eclectic fusion menu to Esplanade at Aventura in March, according to recent coverage in the South Florida Business Journal.

Founded by Gastón Acurio in 1994, a leading Peruvian chef, Acurio Restaurantes opened its first Miami restaurant back in 2013: La Mar, located at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel. Jarana is the company’s twelfth restaurant concept, opening at 19505 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 5150.
The restaurant promises “to embody Peruvian dining culture with lively music and a fusion menu that blends South American, Japanese, Chinese and Italian cuisines,” says the Business Journal coverage. To drink: local brews, wine, cocktails and Peruvian pisco.
“Esplanade at Aventura, located in Aventura FL, is in the heart of one of the most visited and productive shopping trade areas in the country,” says the Esplanade at Aventura website. “The first phase of Esplanade at Aventura will feature the ground-up development of 215,000 square feet of experiential retail, unique entertainment and fine dining in a luxurious open-air setting.”
