Founded in 1995 in Seoul, fried chicken chain BB.Q Chicken has brought its Korean fried chicken to more than 3,500 locations in 57 countries. As the chain works to grow its footprint here in the U.S., a new location appears to be in store for South Florida in Davie. A recently submitted plan review shows BB.Q Chicken opening at 6370 Griffin Rd, on the southeast corner of the intersection with Southwest 64th Avenue.

“The bb.q in our name stands for “Best of the Best Quality”, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants,” reads the BB.Q Chicken website’s About page. “Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.”

BB.Q Chicken’s fried chicken menu features flavor profiles like Gangnam Style (“A black pepper sauce gives these some heat, but the garlic and onions balance it out well”), Gang-Jeong (“A soy-based sauce with extra spice thanks to a cinnamon blend and chili garnish”), and Cheesling (“Dusted in a rich medley of sweet cheeses. Grab extra napkins”). BB.Q Chicken also serves up Kimchi Fried Rice and popular Korean street food Ddeok-Bokki.

Opening at the intersection of Griffin and 64th, BB.Q Chicken would join a food and drink community that includes Sushi Song, Pho Bar, and Taco Love.
