Belly Fish Looks to Be Expanding to SW 38th and Peacock in Miami

Get ready for more sushi, ceviche, and more from this creative local brand

Founded in Hallandale Beach by two partners, hospitality veteran Jonathan Perlman and Grammy-award-winning musician turned Michelin-trained chef Rodrigo Bravo, Belly Fish is a favorite location for sushi, ceviche and more. And now, a recently submitted plan review indicates that the brand is gearing up to expand to a new location in Miami, at 3060 SW 37th Ave.

The Belly Fish menu opens with a selection of favorite combos like the Belly Premium Box, which comes with 10 pieces of nigiri and a spicy salmon roll. The menu also centers hand rolls like Faroe Islands Spicy Salmon, Negi-Toro (Bluefin Tuna & Scallions) and more. A selection of tostadas includes the Tuna Tostada (corn tortilla, marinated tuna, chipotle aioli, avocado, cilantro, crispy leeks) and the Spicy Hamachi Tostada. And finally, ceviches like Tuna Nikkei and Coconut Aji Amraillo, plus Belly Bowls like Salmon Zuke Don, Miso Glazed Eggplant, and Australian Wagyu Steak, complete the picture.

The location, situated on the southeast corner of SW 38th Ave and Peacock Ave, is across the street from hotel Eminent Experience, and just south on SW 38th Ave is Cuban restaurant Tacitas Cafeteria Latin Cuisine.

What Now reached out to Rodrigo Bravo on Tuesday morning. Bravo was not available for comment. No information is available on the construction and opening timeline for a Miami Belly Fish.
