First Watch Plans New Miami Location

The Bradenton-based brunch chain is expanding in Miami-Dade County

Deerwood Town Center, a retail center in southwest Miami-Dade County, is getting a new outpost of Bradenton-based brunch chain First Watch, according to coverage published by the South Florida Business Journal. First Watch Restaurant Group, the coverage says, has filed paperwork for renovations of the space at 12075 SW 152nd St.

“The property is approximately 5,291 square feet and it’s situated on a one-acre lot,” says the Business Journal coverage, citing First Watch’s application. The work in question includes an interior remodel, exterior paint work, and new equipment, along with a new patio seating space.

First Watch already has more than 120 locations in its home state of Florida, plus about 400 more. Its menu has featured choices like Avocado Toast, Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, and Million Dollar Bacon, alongside fresh-made juices and Project Sunrise coffee. The chain also offers a revolving seasonal menu. Dishes on the seasonal menu have included Barbacoa Quesadilla Benedict, Elote Mexican Street Corn Hash, Watermelon Wake-Up juice, and more.

“Just as we greet each morning with the sunrise, we welcome each season into the First Watch menu with ingredients and flavors inspired by the position of the sun,” says the First Watch website’s Food Ethos page. “That’s why on our menu you’ll find vibrant, green California-grown asparagus in April, or the most refreshing Florida watermelon in July, or tender, sweet yellow corn from the midwest in August.”
