Luka Restaurant to Open Second Location in Plantation

This new restaurant mixes Colombian, Venezuelan and Caribbean flavors

A Latin restaurant called Luka Restaurant will be opening at 244 S. University Dr. in Plantation soon. What Now Miami spoke with owner John Arango who described the restaurant’s food as a mix of “Colombian, Venezuelan and Caribbean” flavors. On the restaurant’s Instagram, some of the featured dishes are carne with potatoes, hamburgers, ribeye steak and carne asada.

The restaurant is currently hiring and looking to bring on staff experienced in food service. Arango is looking to hire for positions like dishwasher, runner, server, cashier, team leader, kitchen prepper and more. For those interested in applying, check out the Craigslist ad here.

Arango says that he has applied for a liquor license and the restaurant will serve both wine and beer, and specifically a winter seasonal beer called Nightfall.
