Chef Julian Medina, a New York City restaurateur who has appeared on Food Network’s “Iron Chef”, is set to bring his Latin-inspired cuisine to Florida early next year, according to reports this week. Located at the southeast corner of Main Street and Paseo Boulevard in Downtown Doral, the yet-to-be-named 4,942 square-foot restaurant will include an outdoor bar and dining space.

Co-owned by business partner Meghan Manzi, Medina’s restaurant is expected to employ 50 people for front-of-house, back-of-house and management positions. Together, Medina and Manzi launched La Chula and Latineria in New York. Medina’s restaurant portfolio also includes popular New York City restaurants Tacuba, Toloache, Coppelia, El Fish Sack and Kuxe.

This Downtown Doral project will be Medina’s first restaurant in the Sunshine State. It will be joining the bustling mixed-use development by Codina Partners, who’ve reimagined the 250 acres of industrial park space into one million square-feet of office space, 250,000 square-feet of retail, plus 231 residential units.

In addition to the opening of Medina’s restaurant, Codina Partners are working to debut a second tower boasting 228 residential units that will be ready for move-in by 2023
